The dresses and hair peices:
The dresses are different kinds of dresses and colors. Not to mention our hair peices which depend on the dress! There is not a one certain dress pattern and colors. In the video above, my dance teacher is wearing a pretty white dress with lines of red, balck, pink, and blue. Her hair peice matches her dresses colors as well! This is for the women. The men wear either a mariachi suit or pants and a shirt to match the girl. They wear hats with their outfits. An example of this is shown in the video!
Shoes and Posture:
To dance, we wear folkloric dancing shoes which have nails at the bottom of the heel and at the bottom of the front part. These shoes can come in white and black. This is for the women. The men wear these boots that have the needles in the same places. The posture depends on the region in Mexico. Every state has a different posture. Some postures can be leaning foward and some can be leaning more back. For example, the state Colima leans more foward when dancing. Below, there is an image of the shoes!
